Linda Thompson has been practicing law since 2002. At GDO, Linda aids commercial banking and real estate clients, and assists with various criminal and civil litigation matters.
Linda enjoys working directly with clients, often providing patience and empathy during crisis situations. Prior to joining GDO, Linda worked for 10 years as a consumer bankruptcy attorney, representing chapter 7 and chapter 13 clients, often in adversary and litigation matters. Linda’s background in bankruptcy law is a valuable asset to GDO’s banking clients. Further, Linda’s background as an Assistant City Attorney and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney for several Metro-area cities lends experience to a variety of civil litigation matters
Since 2010, Linda has worked as an Adjunct Professor at Mitchell Hamline Law School, and now at the University of Minnesota Law School, teaching legal research and writing. Linda finds great joy working with her law school students.
Linda lives with her family in a Twin Cities suburb and volunteers for various community organizations and at her church. Linda enjoys downhill skiing, boating, and travel.
